Show host, Mark A. Skoda,
is an avowed conservative who has been politically active throughout
his adult life while voting the first time in a general election when
eighteen year olds were given the opportunity to vote in 1972! Skoda
is active in the TEA party movement and worked to organize a series of
Tea Party events in Memphis, Tennessee and in Washington, DC.
Active in politics on the local and national level, Mark founded The Memphis TEA Party
in Memphis, Tennessee, a non-profit advocacy group for fiscal
responsibility and improved government. He is a co-founder of the National Tea Party Federation, the National Tea Party Alliance and is an organzier of the National Tea Party Convention. Skoda was named to the Newsweek Inside The Tea Party Top 10 in September 2010.
He has spoken at numerous trade and political events, provided commentary while appearing on television
and radio. Mark has been featured on radio, TV and in print nationally -
CNN, FOX Business, Glenn Beck, CBS, MSNBC, ABC, Associated Press, LA
Times; internationally on BBC Radio and TV, NHK Japan, Dutch National TV, Germany, Italy, Spain, Japan, France and Australia.
He
is also an industry leader in BPO who has used technology breakthroughs
to re-structure business processes in multiple market segments. He is a pioneer in outsourcing supply chain business processes.
Mark served as president and CEO of Mark VII, a Memphis-based
publicly traded company and has created profitable new business
divisions for different companies (such as the on-line logistics
marketplace, FreightMatrix, for i2 Technologies) and held
executive positions with United Parcel Service, Federal Express and
Penske Logistics (where he served as Chief Executive). He currently
serves as Executive Vice President for Greystone Digital Technologies, a
Dallas-based technology company.
While overseas, he headed up the M&A effort for UPS in Europe, Middle East and Africa where he served as the Director of Strategic Planning. While with FedEx, he managed the operations for the Business Logistics Services group as MD in Europe and VP in Asia-Pacific.
In total, Mark brings eleven years of international business experience while living throughout Europe and Asia. It
is this international experience that provides a unique perspective in
assessing those challenges facing our country in the current political
environment.
